Timings of the School Day

The school days starts at 8.50am. The gate is open from 8.40am. The school days finishes at 3.30pm. Including lunchtime our school week totals 33 hours and 20 minutes. The children have 1 hour and 10 minute break at lunchtime.

Foundation

8.50am	School starts
	Registration and basic skills tasks
9.10 to 9.45am	Continuous provision and focus tasks
9.45 to 10.00am	Snack
10.00 to 10.45am	Outdoor continuous provision and focus tasks
10.45 to 11.10am	Phonics - Letters and Sounds
11.10 to 11.50am	Continuous provision and reading practise sessions
11.50am to 12.00pm	Story time/Book talk
12.00 to 1.10pm	Lunchtime
1.10 to 1.30pm	Mathematical Development focus session
1.30 to 2.15pm	Continuous provision and focus tasks
2.15 to 2.45pm	Outdoor continuous provision
2.45 to 3.30pm	Continuous provision, catch up phonics, book talk/story time
1.30 to 3.15 pm	(Fridays only) Woodland Adventure Session

9.10 to 9.20am	'Wake and Shake'
9.20 to 10.10am	Maths
10.10 to 10.25am	Assembly
10.25 to 10.40am	Playtime and Snack
10.40 to 11.10am	Phonics - Letters and Sounds
11.10 to 12.00pm	English
	(including reading practise sessions, comprehension, book talk, writing sessions)
12.00 to 1.10pm	Lunchtime
1.10 to 2.15pm	Afternoon Session One
2.15 to 2.30pm	Playtime
	This is a flexible playtime and is sometimes moved depending on class activities
2.30 to 3.30pm	Afternoon Session Two
3.30pm	Home Time
