Community
As a church school we value connecting with our school family and the community beyond. We have some traditions in the way we serve our community such as our annual Coffee and Carols event, or in the delivery of flowers from our harvest festival to the elderly in the village. We are always trying to find new ways to serve our community. We try to demonstrate our school vision to 'love without stopping'.
Community Christmas Card Workshop-December 2022
The whole school came together again to make Christmas cards for the elderly in the village. On a cold, frosty day each class delivered the cards and sang merry little Christmas tunes as we went!
Community Wreath Making- December 2022
Each year, it is lovely to welcome parents of both present and past pupils and the wider village community to join together to start the Christmas season by making an impressive wreath for the front door.
Valentines Cards- February 2022
During the pandemic lockdowns we had to find creative ways to reach out to the local community, so we made and sent out Valentines cards to the elderly in the village to let them know we cared and were thinking of them.
Coffee and Carols 2021
It was a treat to welcome the local community back for our Coffee and Carols event. It was very special to sing Christmas songs once again for family and community friends.
Harvest Festival 2021
Each year at Harvest Festival, we collect and share produce for food banks in Hull and flowers for the elderly in the village.
